Eldorado Canyon - Pre-trip

Mim & Danielle

My wonderful boyfriend and I took a little pre-trip ride last weekend...a few short moments after this photo was taken we headed up toward HWY 36 and into the mountains, and made our way back into Boulder. After some much needed lunch (Snarf's - SO good!) we rode south to Eldorado Canyon, a small town situated right below the National State Park.

Park Entrance (and Mim shamelessly trespassing...)

Even though we weren't able to enter the park, in part because of a grumpy old sour puss working the toll booth, the sights up there were well worth the windy ride and the muddy walk through town, up to the entrance. The sun shone in through the mountain walls looming above, blinding us without our sunglasses.

After resting for a bit on a rock (harmless enough right?!) We were politely asked to make our exit from the area by one park ranger (Sour puss - we know you called him up to do your dirty work), but at least the Ranger was nice and had a smile on his face. After making our way back down the muddy road, we hopped on our bikes to race toward our next big adventure of the day...dinner with my mom :) It was DELICIOUS!

First post - Pre-Trip

This blog will invite its readers to join in on an incredible motorcycle adventure. For our family and friends, to know that we are safe and to share in the beauty of God's creation as we experience it on the road. For any interested traveler, motorcyclist or adventurist to watch as we take one of the greatest trips in our lives, through Colorado, Utah and Navada, up the gorgeous California Coast and across the border to Vancouver and the islands over the sea...through mountains of Canada and as we find our way back to our sweet home in Colorado. With as little planning as possible, we will partake in the most spontaneous of endeavors...it is my hope that you will follow us on this journey as we enjoy the unexpected and unbridled beauty life has to offer.
